Welcome to Cresskill Performing Arts' website! Fall Registration has begun! Classes Begin Tuesday, Sept. 7th! To register for a class, call us at 201-390-7513 for space availability, or stop by the studio. Former students can register by telephone or e-mail. We limit the numbers in all our classes which ensures a personal, positive experience for our students, age 2-1/2 through adults. There are lots of new classes and other surprises in store for this season, as we go into our fifth year! We are delighted that we were voted one of the Top 3 Dance Schools in Bergen County by the readers of The Jewish Standard...thanks! New! Dance Beginnings Plus! This is our dance class for children age 4 - 7 with special needs. Joining our stellar staff this Fall is the talented Cheryl Woertz, teaching voice for us. We are thrilled to welcome Cheryl, who is an active performer, musical director, and teacher in the tri-state area. Fencing master Joseph Daly is teaching foil, epee, sabre, rapier and dagger and more. Both theatrical and competitive styles are available. On Camera Commercial Technique Workshops will resume in the Fall. These classes will prepare the students for auditioning and working "in the business," and students will receive a DVD of their best work. Call us for information and tuition rates. We believe that you and your children deserve the best teachers available, whether you are taking class for fun and exercise or with a future career in mind. The staff at Cresskill Performing Arts has credits ranging from college degrees in dance and psychology to National Tours and Broadway musicals, and they teach at New York City's finest studios. Our teachers include: Peter Yuen, Joy Carlson, Annie Ellertsen, Ljuba Castot, Laura Haley, Andrea Decaneas, David Brand, Shakira Marshall, Elinor Goeller, Diane Perell, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Daly, Bethel Keith, Cheryl Woertz and Betsy Daly.
Our expanded class schedule includes Ballet, Jazz, Funk Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Hot Mama Jazz, Musical Theater, Lyrical Jazz, Contemporary, Acting, Voice, Broadway Song Time, Creative Choreography class, Once Upon A Time and Kids Concoctions crafts classes, along with On Camera Technique and our Junior Company, the Cresskill Performing Arts Dance Troupe, and the new Hip-Hop Company. Performance opportunities include a Work-in-Progress show in December, yearly Spring Recital, and outreach shows for charity throughout the year. Director Betsy Daly and the staff have created lots of excitement in the community as we provide local students, age 2-1/2 to adult, with the talents of the larger metropolitan area's best instructors. The emphasis is on individual growth in a non-competitive environment...fun and inspiration guaranteed!
