Class Descriptions

Princess Dance (2-1/2 - 3 year olds) With lots of game playing, our youngest dancers learn how to take dance class with ballet & creative movement designed just for them!

BrainWorks (age 3 - 5) This special class, for both boys & girls, combines music, movement, kinesiology, and playing rhythm instruments.

Ballet Beginnings (age 4) Students learn to express themselves with grace, mastering basic ballet positions, using props and imagination.

Preballet (age 5 - 7) The continuation of this traditional dance form includes barre, center & across the floor for our young ballerinas.

Intro to Jazz & Tap (age 5 - 7) Enhance your child's physical development with the coordination of jazz & tap...lots of fun included.

Intro to Hip-Hop (age 5 - 8) A dance class for a new generation: combine upbeat music with coordination, rhythm, and dance terminology.

Tap 1, Intermediate Tap, Teen/Adult Beginner Tap: Depending on experience and level, get your rhythm on and make some noise!

Theater Games, Acting (age 5 - 9) This is a great way to start "acting" class. Sensory exercises, improvisation, music & movement are all part of expanding the self-confidence & imagination!

Ballet 1/2, Ballet 2 (age 6 - 9) Students develop grace, coordination, strength, balance...ballet stresses technique & alignment.

Preteen Intermediate Ballet (age 8 - 14) Continuing their training, students work on vocabulary through more advanced movement, focusing on clean technique.

Jazz Intermediate & Jazz 2/3 (age 8 - 14) Once the basics are mastered, jazz dance becomes more syncopated and even more focused on style.

Preteen Modern: Modern dance, with elements from jazz, Native American dance, "free dance," and more, this expressive dance form focuses on flexibility, coordination, strength, and body awareness to allow freedom of expression. Floor work and bare feet are paramount!

Preteen/Teen Funk Jazz: Sandwiched right between jazz & hip-hop, this class includes work on dance technique as well as funky style.

Preteen Hip-Hop/Intermediate Teen/Adult Hip-Hop: Dance for the MTV generation, well-edited current music and the latest dance moves are mastered while having fun.

Preteen/Teen Theater Dance & Preteen/Teen Broadway Dance: These are jazz classes focusing on dance styles used in musicals, both onstage and in film. These performers also use their voices & acting skills, working on the "triple threat."

Broadway Song Time (age 8 - 14) A group musical theater class, we focus on singing for both voice and acting technique, "putting it together" for musical theater performance.

Preteen/Teen Creative Choreography & Audition: For students bursting with creativity, we challenge them to invent choreography, combine acting with music, and tell stories through performing.

Preteen/Teen Acting: Exercises for the actor, including preparation students need to succeed with monologues & scenes. Costume pieces, props, and lots of imagination required!

Yoga For Kids: (age 7 - 14) De-stress and gain strength, balance, and agility with this ancient practice.
